While he’s being driven into a corner fighting Re-Destro, he recovers forgotten memories of his terrible childhood and is awakened. Meanwhile, Tomura Shigaraki from the League of Villains clashes against the Metahuman Liberation Army led by Re-Destro. Working hard in the best possible environment, he is growing as a hero and using Blackwhip, a new Quirk that was hiding in One For All. With Bakugo and Todoroki, Deku is doing his work study at the office of the number one hero, Endeavor. The good news is that, as of September 2022, 35 volumes have been published in Japan alongside 367 individual chapters, meaning there should be enough source material for My Hero Academia to continue for several more seasons after the sixth broadcast. The most obvious indicator of a sixth adventure was the availability of source material, with the season 5 finale adapting up until volume 26 chapter 257 of the original manga series. However, the news of a sixth season was by no means a surprising one. The first reports on season 6 were shared by the Japanese news website Ryokutya2089, which stated that a “production decision” had been made for My Hero Academia season 6. Prior to the official announcement, there had been various rumours surrounding the early-renewal of My Hero Academia with multiple ‘leaks’ trending on social media. Interestingly, the next season is already being promoted as a major moment in the series history, with the official announcement ending with the tag line, “Hero vs enemy, full-scale war is approaching!”
